Try a Fountain Exit!

March 5th, 2015

By Laurel Critchfield

You see so many pictures of sparkler exits on Pinterest. There are tons of women in white dresses and men in tuxedos running through a group of friends and family all holding flaming sticks. As fun as that is, it's done very frequently. If you're looking for something more unique to do at the end of your reception, look into a fountain exit.

The outdoor fountain aisle is flashier than a sparkler exit. The bride and groom can either run or drive through the aisle. Both techniques will make your guests ‘ooh and ahh' in delight! Plus the fountains will look great in your photos!

Give Your Guests a Treat with a Sparkler Bar

January 30th, 2015

There are many different ways to display sparklers at your wedding. Some brides opt for simple and understated displays, maybe in metal buckets donning tags tied with twine. Other brides prefer extravagant displays, with sparkly decorations and gigantic signs.

An idea for displaying sparklers that may appeal to any type of bride is a sparkler bar. For this, you would need several different types of sparklers for guests to choose from for your sparkling farewell. Feel free to let guests take a couple different sparklers or one of each.

The vision for this idea is a long table covered in several containers for sparklers, metal buckets, vases, baskets, whatever appeals to the particular bride and fits with the wedding theme. In each container would be a different type of sparkler, some long, some short, with a couple of novelty sparklers thrown in just for fun.

The Basics of Diamond Buying

January 26th, 2015

By Laurel Critchfield

There are several different aspects that go into buying the perfect diamond for your engagement. The four most important qualities of a diamond are the four C's: cut, color, clarity, and carat. The cost of a diamond depends on each of these characteristics. The more ‘perfect' the diamond is according to the four C's the more rare it is. Rarer diamonds cost more, and can get very expensive.
